OML Proud to Announce Kelly Danner as Incoming President of Keep Oklahoma Beautiful
On March 27th, OML’s Inquiry Specialist, Kelly Danner, was voted in as Keep Oklahoma Beautiful’s Incoming President. Kelly will serve a one year term beginning in June 2014.
In recognition of Keep Oklahoma Beautiful's involvement in the Great American Cleanup™ as the state coordinator, and the impact the organization has on the entire state, Governor Fallin has signed a proclamation declaring April 2014 as "Keep Oklahoma Beautiful Month”. Disaster Preparedness Workshop Held, Register Today for April 29th in Woodward!
The second annual Disaster Preparedness Workshop was held at Rose State last Friday. It was a great crowd and we were able to secure 6 hours of CLEET certification for law enforcement officers. A repeat performance will be held in Woodward on April 29 with 5 hours of CLEET certification for this event, which includes Damon Lane, Chief Meteorologist for KOCO 5 as a guest speaker! The Oklahoma Municipal Judges Association and the Oklahoma Association of Municipal Attorneys are having their spring conferences soon and registration is now open. NOI June Workshops Scheduled and Available for Registration
Are you a Newly Elected Official? If so, and you haven't yet signed up for our NOI Workshops, the June Workshops will be held June 12th in Tulsa and June 19th in Oklahoma City. State law requires each person elected for the first time to a position of a municipality on or after January 1, 2005, OR appointed for the first time on or after July 1, 2006, to attend an institute for municipal officials. The statute is codified at Title 11 O.S., Section 8-114. Click here for more information and to register.

On March 11, 2014, Connors State College and the Town of Warner were honored for their economic partnership receiving the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Business Partnership Excellence Award. The award, given annually, highlights successful partnerships between Oklahoma institutions of higher education and the business community.
Since its founding 1908, the town of Warner and its residents have been steadfast supporters of CSC and its mission of higher education. On the Warner campus, the town of Warner partnered with CSC to provide $60,000 in signage, infrastructure and road improvements to beautify the college and community. The town of Warner provided an additional $80,000 for a new entrance road to alleviate congestion and increase the safety of students and the community traveling to the campus. Most importantly, the town of Warner has worked to provide more than $1 million for vital infrastructure improvements that ensures CSC provides exceptional facilities and educational opportunities to students and the community for many years to come.
